Former Alabama Governor Don Siegelman and his family are en route to Louisiana.
Siegelman must report to a federal prison in the state by 2:00 p.m. Tuesday. He will serve the remaining 69 months of his sentence on bribery and conspiracy convictions.
Siegelman spent several days at the Democratic National Convention, trying to garner support for clemency from President Barack Obama.
The former governor's daughter, Dana, started a petition on www.change.org to collect signatures of those who favor clemency for her father.
