College football playoff ready to finalize games sites

The new college football playoff system could{}finalize the site of it's first national championship game as soon as this week.

The conference commissioners will meet Tuesday in Pasadena, CA. Picking the six bowl game sites for the semifinal rotation and deciding who will host the first national championship game is top priority.

The Fiesta, Cotton and Chick-fil-A bowls are believed to be the front-runners to join the Rose, Orange and Sugar Bowls in the playoff rotation.

The Holiday Bowl in San Diego is also a candidate for the playoff rotation.

Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX and Tampa, FL are the main contenders for the first championship game under the new, four-team playoff system that will start with the 2014 season.
