Skills USA Conference in Birmingham this week

This week, Alabama high school and college students are competing in the state's Skills USA Leadership Conference, Career Expo and State Championship.The students are showing off their skills at the BJCC, in various competitions including carpentry, cosmetology, electrical technology and video production. There are more than 60 categories. Around 1,800 students, teachers, parents and top business execs are expected to make an appearance during the two-day event.Winners will compete in June at the national competition in Kansas City, Missouri.
