      Sleep habits in children

      Some doctors say sleep habits in toddlers could be genetic.

      But environmental factors also play a role, especially when it comes to daytime napping. For example, putting your child down for a daytime nap while the TV is on could setup a poor bedtime routine for them. Doctors say more research is needed to find out exactly which environmental factors make the biggest differences, but they say whether it's a daytime nap, or putting your child to bed at night, a good sleeping routine is key.
