South Carolina prep coach Bobby Bentley will join the Auburn football staff.
Bentley, who was the head coach at Byrnes High School, will reportedly be an offensive analyst working with quarterbacks.
The Spartanburg Herald Journal was the first to report the move.
Bentley is 119-54 at Byrnes. He coached the Rebels from 1995-2006 before leaving to become the head coach at Presbyterian College. He returned to Byrnes in 2009 as the athletic director and offensive coordinator, and took over as the head coach again in 2013.
The Rebels won four consecutive South Carolina state championships from 2002-2005.
Auburn coach Gus Malzahn reportedly tried to hire Bentley to be part of the coaching staff last offseason but Bentley opted to remain at Byrnes.
