The Spanish Fort Toros, led by quarterback Joel Poe, cruised past McAdory 45-14 to win the AHSAA Class 5A State Championship Wednesday night at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Poe accounted for four total touchdowns -- three passing, one rushing -- in the Toros dominant performance against the previously undefeated McAdory. He finished the night with 177 yards passing.

Spanish Fort finishes the year 14-1, with their only loss coming to St. Paul's in week six of the regular season, a loss they avenged last week in the semifinals.

McAdory, who played their way into tonight's game by upsetting top-ranked Muscle Shoals last week, also finishes the season 14-1.
