Special election for Birmingham City Council seat June 3rd

BIRMINGHAM - AL — A special election for a Birmingham City Council seat will coincide with the June third primary. Voters in District Four will decide who will represent them on the council.Councilman William Parker is running against Edward Maddox, Gwendolyn Sykes, and Mary Jean LaMay. Voters will get an additional ballot to cast their votes in this race.The seat was vacated last November when Parker's mother, Council President Maxine Parker, died. Parker was appointed to serve until the special election.
