Standoff at fireworks stand in Huntsville
HUNTSVILLE - AL — A standoff in Huntsville ended with a man being charged with making a terrorist threat Saturday.It happened in Madison County at a fireworks stand on Highway 231. Investigators say John Raleigh Wilson threatened two employees inside the store. When the employees told him they were calling police, he said he would shoot anyone that showed up. When deputies arrived, they had to close down the highway for 45 minutes while a standoff continued. Eventually Wilson was taken into custody.He faces multiple charges, including drug charges, possession of a sawed off shotgun, possession of a pistol by violent felon and a parole violation. No one was injured in the incident.
