Stores in Alabama are running out of guns and ammunition

With guns and ammunition flying off the shelves, Wal-Mart is having its stores ration some sales.

A company spokeswoman says supplies are limited, so customers are only allowed to buy three boxes of ammo per day. Gun buyers have been snapping up weapons and ammunition because of feared gun control legislation. Wal-Mart says it is working with suppliers to get more ammo in its stores to meet the stepped up demand.

Hoover Tactical is also experiencing the same. "A lot of people are buying the rifles because of the legislative talk that's been going on," says Austin Cook, General Manager at Hoover Tactical.

According to the FBI, background checks for gun sales reached their highest levels in 15 years over the past six weeks.
