Stores stocking shelves, becoming more winter weather ready

Stores in the Birmingham-Metro area are preparing for the winter weather.

In Hoover, the{}Target off Highway 150 has been selling a lot of space heaters, jackets and gloves.

Employees have been rearranging merchandise to get those items ready and accessible for customers.

"We've been trying to move cold wear up to the front," Ryan Collins said. "[And] get [merchandise] to where the guest can see it and access it more openly."

Temperatures Saturday and Sunday are expected to dip into the low and mid 20s.
