Students face discipline after releasing pepper spray at school

      Police and school officials are lookinginto what punishment should be handed down against three students that they saytook turns releasing pepper spray in school.

      Police in Douglasville, Ga. say 75 to100 students at Douglas County High School complained about itchy eyes andnoses after the spray was released Wednesday morning.{} Around 250 students were evacuated from thebuilding where the incident occurred.

      Police say they looked at surveillancevideo and received tips from students to confirm the identities of the studentsresponsible.

      Douglas County principal Dr. Tim Scottsays the students would face a tribunal through the Board of Education and thatany punishment by the school system would be determined using board policy.

      The students also face a charge of disruption of a public school in DouglasCounty Juvenile Court. {}
