Students give toys

Here's a reminder it's more of a blessing to give than to receive.....

Students at Oak Mountain Middle School raised 25-thousand dollars... for the toys for tots program....

Honor students went to the toy store to shop... and piled up the toys for a big assembly this afternoon.

{}Larry Haynes, Principal of Oak Mountain Middle school... says, "They had bake sales , they went door to door knocking on their neighbor's doors to collect money.

They actually even met with parents and some of them cut back on what they were getting for Christmas just to bring in more gifts for toys for tots this year.

{}The students helped load up the toys in the marine's trucks... they'll soon be sorted and delivered to children in need.

It's heartwarming to see a community pull together to fight a disease.
