Birmingham man charged with attempted murder in shooting investigation

Birmingham Police detectives have arrested and charged 22-year-old Joshua White of Birmingham in connection with an attempted murder investigation.{} The incident occurred on Thursday, November 26, 2013 at approximately 1:00 a.m., at 1001 20th Street South. Officers found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the stomach. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.{} {}Officers determined that the victim and suspect were involved in a verbal altercation prior to the shooting. Officers arrested the suspect after he called to notify police that he was involved. White has been charged with two Attempted Murder warrants with a $30,000.00 bond on each charge. He is in custody at the Jefferson County Jail. The second charge was obtained because a second person was with the victim at the time of the shooting. The second person was not injured.
