Suspended Auburn center, Reese Dismukes, will play against Mississippi State

Auburn head coach Gene Chizik announced today that center Reese Dismukes will play against Mississippi State this Saturday after serving a one-game suspension for a public intoxication arrest.

In his weekly press conference, Chizik said Dismukes has "done all we've asked him to do."

Dismukes was arrested one week before the Tigers' game against Clemson, prompting him to miss the trip to Atlanta.{} With sophomore Tunde Fariyike filling in at center, Auburn lost the game 26-19.

Auburn will travel to Starkville, Miss. to play an 11 a.m. game against the Bulldogs on Saturday, and while Dismukes is cleared to play, Chizik declined to say if he would start.

"There's ongoing competition everywhere," Chizik said today.{} "We've had one game to evaluate what we thought were our starters in game one. We expect a lot of improvement from game one to game two, along with that, there's still going to be challenges for positions."
