"Take Steps Birmingham Walk" raises more than $50,000
BIRMINGHAM - AL —
More than 300 people were out walking, Saturday, taking steps to help the fight against Crohn's and Colitis.
The "Take Steps Birmingham Walk" took place at Homewood Central Park, Saturday.
All the money raised will go to the local Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America Chapter.
Walkers were celebrating the funds they have raised throughout the year and the efforts that have been taken to help find a cure.
ABC 33/40's Marissa Mitchell served as the emcee of the event.
More than $50,000 was raised at Saturday's "Take Steps Birmingham Walk." Most of the proceeds will support education and research for the digestive disorders.
