Tuscaloosa police have charged an Anniston teenager with murder in connection with a shooting Sunday night.
An arrest warrant was issued for 19-year-old Raquez Meshun Thomas late Wednesday night and he was later arrested then transported to the Tuscaloosa County Jail, where he is being held on $250,000 bond.
Thomas is accused of shooting and killing 28-year-old Demetrius Strother on Aug. 18 at a home in the 1700 block of Kicker Road. Shortly after the shooting, Strother went to a neighbor's house for help and was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
The motive for the murder is believed to have been robbery, investigators said.
