Many Hoover families enjoyed the afternoon sunshine at Veteran's Park, Saturday.
It was all for the Seventh Annual Celebrate Hoover Day.
It's a citywide free event, where families can enjoy numerous activities, like dancing, sac races and a car show. People could also get a taste of the world's largest apple pie.
Children also had the opportunity to meet with local law enforcement, as well as ride donkeys and enjoy inflatables.
People could also meet with vendors and receive free hand-outs and gifts.
Hoover Mayor Gary Ivey says the event draws thousands of people and their families every year.
