Tide's Mosley is a finalist for the Butkus Award

Alabama linebacker C.J. Mosley has been named a finalist for the Butkus Award. (

C.J. Mosley continues to collect individual accolades.

Alabama's senior linebacker is one of five finalist for the Butkus Award, which goes to the nation's top linebacker.

Mosley would be the third Butkus Award winner in program history, joining Derrick Thomas (1988) and Rolando McClain (2009).

Mosley has a team high 88 tackles including nine tackles for loss.

The Butkus Award winner will be announced next month at the Home Depot College Football Awards show in Orlando, Fla.
