Ed Stinson's Senior Bowl experience has been cut short because of a groin injury.
The former Alabama defensive end suffered the injury in the first practice of the week in Mobile and told reporters that he will not take part in any more workouts or play in Saturday's game.
Stinson will be the third Alabama player to miss the Senior Bowl because of an injury. Guard Anthony Steen is recovering from shoulder surgery and cornerback Deion Belue is suffering from a toe injury.
Stinson started each of Alabama's the past two seasons. He is projected as a mid-round selection in May's NFL draft.
The draft begins May 8 at Radio City Music Hall in New York.
