Top basketball prospect Danjel Purifoy no longer on Bibb County team

Danjel Purifoy may be forced to pick a new high school before he decides on his college.The state's top basketball prospect is reportedly no longer a member of the team at Bibb County High School. Head coach Russ Wallace told the Minneapolis Star Tribune that Purifoy "didn't do the things that he needed to do" to be on the Choctaws.Wallace told the newspaper he didn't know where Purifoy would be in school for his senior season.The 6-foot-6, 190 pound player is a four-star prospect and rated the No. 12 small forward prospect in the class of 2016 by 247 Sports.Purifoy averaged 17.7 points and 6.1 rebounds in his only season at Bibb County. He spent his sophomore year at Cahawba Christian school, which is an AISA institution.Purifoy has scholarship offers from Kentucky, Florida, Wichita State, Auburn, Alabama, Maryland, and Michigan State according to 247 Sports.{}
