You may want to add another St. Patrick's festivity to your list of things to do this weekend. The Big Benefit Run and Ride, which puts on monthly runs and bike rides at Good People Brewing to benefit local charities, has organized the semi-annual event. It's called Tour de Brewers 4. Runners and cyclists can participate in a fun 10k, stopping at the 3 original Birmingham craft breweries for a beer along the way, and benefit the Dannon Project.
Saturday, March 15th, for a $20 entry fee, runners and cyclists start the 10k trek at Tin Roof, stop for a free pint at Avondale, Cahaba, and Good People, and return to Tin Roof for a party with a band, door prizes, and free t-shirts. Tour de Brewers benefits the Dannon Project, a charity foundation started by Jeh Jeh Pruitt and his wife to help nonviolent offenders with job training, life skills, and housing as they transition back into society.
