U.S. Investigators will travel to Mexico to help find the cause of a plane crash that killed singer Jenni Rivera. Rivera was born in California. She became a superstar of Mexican-American music. Rivera and six of her friends died in the crash in northern Mexico.
Josh Brent Intoxicated Manslaughter
Dallas Cowboys player Josh Brent faces charges of intoxicated manslaughter. Police say alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash that killed his teammate Jerry Brown. This is pretty staggering information. USA Today reports that since January 2000, NFL players have been arrested more than 600 times. Almost 200 of the arrests were on charges of driving under the influence.
"Fat Girls" Bill
Three California woman are outraged for a label they were given at a Stockton, California restaurant. When they got the bill at the Cameo Club Casino, it said "fat girls". They demanded to see a manager, who they say, smirked and eventually apologized. The server was suspended after admitting to typing the label on the bill.
Bullying Weight Loss
A nine-year-old California girl lost 66 pounds after her excessive weight made her a target for bullies. Breanna Bond weighed 186 pounds. Her mother said she lost it the healthy way and her daughter should serve as an inspiration to other children. She started with an exercise plan, which included walking, basketball and swimming. She also limited her fat intake to 20 grams a day.
