Austin Sigg Confession

A confession from the teenager accused of killing 10-year-old Jessica Ridgeway. His afternoon court appearance is trending.

Authorities say they have "overwhelming" DNA evidence against 17-year-old Austin Sigg. He appeared in court Thursday morning, with his hands and feet shackled.

He lived about a mile from Jessica Ridgeway, who disappeared earlier this month. Classmates say Sigg was studying mortuary science at a local community college.{}

If convicted, the death penalty is not an option because he's under 18.

Hurricane Sandy

Forecasters are tracking "Frankenstorm." It's an unusual mix of a hurricane and a winter storm. The worst of it could be focused around New York City and New Jersey.

Right now, the prediction is a 90% chance that the east will see gale force winds, flooding, and maybe snow starting Sunday and stretching through Wednesday.

But, NOAA forecasters say this storm is so massive the effects will be felt along the entire Atlantic Coast. From Florida to Maine and inland to Ohio.{}{}
