      Trending topics 1/7

      Here are some of the topics trending online for January 7, 2012.

      BCS National Championship

      Seems as though everybody's got a guess as to who will hold the crystal ball at the end of Monday night's BCS National Championship game. Notre Dame has history on its side. The Irish have won five of the six meetings between the two teams.

      But, despite an undefeated season and a number one ranking, they're the underdogs. Alabama is a nine point favorite.

      Most of the experts agree with the odds makers, that the Tide will bring home its third championship in four years. On ESPN.com you'll even find the "Ten reasons Alabama will win it all".

      RGIII Injury

      Robert Griffin III must have more tests on his injured right knee. An MRI proved inconclusive because of a previous ACL tear. Griffin re injured his knee in Sunday's playoff game.{}

      His coach and Griffin have been critized for letting him in the game. On Monday he tweeted, "Many may question, criticize & think they have all the right answers. But few have been in the line of fire in battle."

      The Redskins lost to the Seattle Seahawks.

      Lindsay Lohan

      Lindsay Lohan may "win" one without ever really having to fight. She was arrested on a misdemeanor assault charge in late November for allegedly hitting a woman during an argument in a Manhattan nightclub.

      An attorney for Lohan predicts his client will not face charges. The lawyer signed paperwork for Lohan on Monday. The district attorney's office would say only that the investigation is continuing.

      Octomom Welfare

      Maybe eight is too much? TMZ reports Octomom, Nadya Suleman, is back on welfare just five months after she got off the dole.{} She will reportedly get $2,800 dollars of government aid per month.
