NFL commissioner Roger Goodell stepped into the battle over the name of the Washington Redskins. In a letter to Congress, Goodell said it represents "courage, pride and respect."

Ten lawmakers reached out to the league last month asking that the word 'Redskin' be dropped.{} Some Native American groups call it insulting and racially insensitive.

Goodell said it was never meant to offend any group. Washington Redskins owner, Daniel Snyder, has already said he will never change the name.

According to Facebook, many users already post hashtags anyway. Hashtags will be both clickable and searchable.
