New details released in apparent, attempted, murder-suicide
Police in North Alabama have identified a victim in a shooting in Scottsboro.
Tessa Groves, 17, of Woodville, died Tuesday night inside a home. Investigators say Groves was killed as a result of an attempted murder-suicide. But, they are unsure who pulled the trigger.
Groves' boyfriend, Jonathan Nicholson, 19, was also shot, but did not die from his injury. Police say Nicholson was found, heavily bleeding from the face, in the driveway of the home where the shooting happened, just after 9:09pm Tuesday. Nicholson remains in the hospital.
Police say that in the past they have dealt with several calls to the home where the two were shot.
