Tuscaloosa County woman, 48, dies from injuries sustained in single-car crash on Monday

TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, Ala. -- A Coaling woman has died from injuries sustained in a single-car accident Monday night, Alabama State Troopers said.Sherri Edwards, 48, was fatally injured around 10:30 p.m. after the Pontiac Grand Prix she was driving on Alabama 216 left the road and overturned. The crash occurred approximately one mile west of Peterson.Edwards was transported to a local hospital, where she would later succumb to her injuries the following day. It is unknown if the victim was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.An investigation remains ongoing.
