Tuscaloosa man charged with burglary and resisting arrest

Northport police have charged a 22-year-old Tuscaloosa man with burglary, possession of burglar's tools and resisting arrest.

Northport police were patrolling on 22nd Avenue last Monday when they observed a suspicious person walking to the back of a house. Officers investigated the suspicious activity and found the subject going into the residence. Officers later arrested Gabriel Allen. They say one officer was assaulted by Allen as they tried to take him into custody. A brief pursuit occurred before Allen was arrested.

He is now being held in the Tuscaloosa County jail pending a $21,000 bond
