One seriously injured in motorcycle accident in Tuscaloosa

Tuscaloosa Police responded to the 3700 Block of East Skyland Boulevard at 12:41 p.m. Friday afternoon on a report of an accident with injuries.

Upon arrival, officers learned that the driver of a Kawasaki KLR 650 motorcycle was traveling west on E. Skyland Blvd. when a Chevy Trailblazer pulled out in front of him, causing him to lock up his brakes and hit the trailblazer.

The driver of the Trailblazer was coming from a side road that connects two parking lots and was attempting to cross over to go eastbound on E. Skyland Blvd.

The driver of the motorcycle was transported to DCH with serious injuries.

The Tuscaloosa Police Department's Accident Reconstruction Unit responded to the scene and is currently investigating the accident.
