Tuscaloosa to consider changing bar closing hours
TUSCALOOSA - AL —
Tuscaloosa might extend bar closing hours again, Tuesday night.
Under the city's current ordinance, the "last call" for drinks is at 1:45 a.m. and customers must clear out 15 minutes later.
That rule was suspended on a trial basis back in April. Bars were given 30 minutes to clear out after the last drink call.
Some say they would like that change to be permanent.
Tuesday night, council will vote on whether to allow extended bar hours to continue next June.
