Tuscaloosa Woman Accused of Filing False Rape Claim

Tuscaloosa police have charged a woman after they say she made a false rape claim.

Investigators say Raquel Maxfield admitted to lying about the rape. Earlier, she told police she had been raped by two men after leaving a restaurant near Greensboro Avenue and 4th Street.

Maxfield is now charged with false reporting to law enforcement. She turned herself in on Monday and has posted bond.
