      Tuskegee University getting new president

      A new president has been selected to lead Tuskegee University.School officials said Tuesday that Brian Johnson has been unanimously selected to serve as president beginning June 15. Johnson will replace the outgoing Gilbert Rochon.Johnson currently works in academic affairs at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tenn. School officials say 40-year-old Johnson was chosen after a nationwide search and is one of the youngest people to be tapped to lead a historically black college or university in recent years.Tuskegee University was founded in 1881 by Booker T. Washington and enrolls about 3,000 students.
