Two charged in Sally Beauty Supply robbery

Bessemer police have charged a man and woman with an armed robbery at Sally Beauty Supply on Academy Drive Southwest.{}Police were called to the store Saturday evening. Investigators say Mornterieus Densmore came into the store dressed as a woman with a bandana and big sunglasses on. He demanded money and purses from women inside the store. During the course of the robbery, he threatened to kill the individuals inside. Officers arrived in time to see him approach the front door armed with a handgun. He ran out the back door, down an alleyway, jumped a fence, ran down a trail through woods toward Cedar Creek Town homes and jumped into a Buick Lesabre that was parked waiting for him with a female driver inside. As officers approached the vehicle, the driver tried to exit the parking lot but was stopped.{}Investigators have charged Densmore and 21-year-old Tiffany Hill with robbery first-degree. More charges are expected to filed later in the week.
