Two men in custody, face meth lab related charges

A stolen water investigation lead Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's deputies to a burning house and the remains of what was believed to be a meth lab.{}41 year old Johnny Truman Brown and 29 year old Timothy David Jones are facing charges of manufacturing a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Brown also faces criminal tampering and criminal trespass charges. He also has warrants stemming from theft of water from a nearby well.

Jones faces charges of possession of marijuana.

Both men could face more.

Deputies say the Peterson Water Department had reported water being stolen at a house on the 11 thousand block of Recreation Area Road. When they went to see about it, they found Tuscaloosa firefighters fighting a fire at the house.

Two dogs were at the house. Tuscaloosa County Animal Control took them.
