UA student charged with making terrorist threats

A suspended University of Alabama doctoral student is charged with making terrorist threats and stalking staff members.

Police say that 28 year old Zachary Burrell was suspended last month for allegedly violating the Student Code of Conduct.

He was arrested for sending emails that caused concern for staff members after his suspension.

Police say the emails did not contain direct threats to the general campus population.
