UA to see more Greek housing over next couple years
TUSCALOOSA - AL —
Brand new, multi-million dollar Greek houses line the streets at the University of Alabama and even more are under construction.
Records from the university show that Alabama's Greek-letter organizations have had at least $202 million in a building boom over the past decade.
About 30 houses have either been built or are planned to be built. One planned sorority house is expected to cost $13.5 million.
UA says the houses provide needed bed space as enrollment continues to increase.
