UAB hosting Presidential election viewing


The nation is just days away from electing a new commander in chief. {}At the University of Alabama at Birmingham, folks will be watching the numbers roll in on election night. {}Students, faculty and staff are invited to attend a screening of the presidential election returns from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2012. {}The viewing will be held in the commons area of Blazer Hall.{}Three jumbo screens will be set to major news networks. {}UAB professors in the departments of Government and Communication Studies will be on hand to circulate among the crowd to give political commentary. The event is part of UAB Votes, a campus-wide collaboration of programming associated with the 2012 campaigns and elections. {}For more information about UAB Votes, go to will be free pizza and drinks.
