Dan Uggla may not be a part of the Atlanta Braves playoff plans.
An industry source told MLB.com's Mark Bowman that the Braves are leaning toward leaving Uggla off the 25-man playoff roster for the team's NLDS opener against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Atlanta will submit it's postseason roster on Wednesday.
Uggla hit .179 with 22 home runs and a .671 OPS in 136 games this season. He's batting .133 with one home run in 24 games since he underwent LASIK surgery to repair his vision.
Uggla has the highest salary on this year's team ($13 million).
Elliott Johnson has become Atlanta's regular second baseman.
If the team does not take Uggla, it would more than likely take an extra pitcher and use a 12-man staff against LA.
Game one of the NLDS between the Braves and Dodgers is Thursday at Turner Field in Atlanta.
