The US Army AMRDEC will commemorate 50 years of accomplishments at McMorrow Laboratories on March 12, 2014 on Redstone Arsenal, according to Christopher Colster."When this lab was dedicated in 1964, they spoke of staggering accomplishments and limitless possibilities," said COL Jeffrey Mockensturm, Deputy Director, AMRDEC. "On the 50th anniversary, we will celebrate that vision and some of the success that we've had in improving the capability of the American warfighter and the security of the United States."Mr. James Lackey, Acting Director, AMRDEC, will give the opening remarks. Additional remarks will be made by Dr. Richard Rhoades, former Associate Director of MRDEC, Madison Mayor Troy Trulock, Mr. Dale Ormond, Director, US Army Research Development and Engineering Command, and Dr. Grace Bochenek, Chief Technology Officer, US Army Materiel Command."The legacy that we build on every day is truly remarkable," said James Lackey, Acting Director, AMRDEC.
