Married couple arrested after police find meth lab at their home in Vance

A married couple was arrested Friday evening after law enforcement found a meth lab and other drugs at their home in Vance.

Tuscaloosa sheriff's deputies and officers from Vance and Coaling went to a residence in the 11000 block of Hen Smith Road to investigate suspected drug activity. Upon arriving, deputies discovered a meth lab, meth paraphernalia, several one-pot meth labs, marijuana and several opiates.

Roger Baisden, 46, was arrested and charged with unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bonds total $262,000.

His wife, Cynthia Baisden, 44, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Her bond was set at $15,000.

The West Alabama Narcotics Task Force assisted in the investigation and arrests.
