Victim in Overnight Shooting in Jefferson County dies after fight over a debt

Investigators with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office say the man shot on Belgium Avenue in the Edgewater Community has died.{} Deputies were called to the 7400 block of Belgium Avenue around 6 p.m. last night. They arrived to find 47-year-old Vincent Lamar Giddens of Mulga unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to UAB hospital, where he was pronounced dead last night at 9:49 p.m. Investigators have charged 30-year-old Antonio Dewayne McIntosh of Edgewater.{} Investigators say he admitted to shooting Gidden during an argument about a debt Gidden claimed was owed to him. He was arrested and charged with murder. McIntosh posted a $75,000 bond and was released from jail after three this morning.
