Did anyone really question whether or not Beyonce could actually sing?

On Thursday, the superstar wife of hip-hop mogul Jay-Z, who has been catching flack for her lip-synching bungle of the national anthem at President Barack Obama's inauguration, hushed all of her critics with a live rendition of the anthem during a Super Bowl XLVII news conference.

Immediately following her live, impromptu performance, Beyonce jokingly asked:{} "Any questions?"

She then admitted to singing to a prerecorded track for President Obama, but only did so because of a lack of time to practice.

"I practice until my feet bleed and I did not have time to rehearse with the orchestra," she said. "Due to no proper sound check, I did not feel comfortable taking a risk. It was about the president and the inauguration, and I wanted to make him and my country proud, so I decided to sing along with my pre-recorded track, which is very common in the music industry. And I'm very proud of my performance."

And with that, we can now all turn our attention from "Beyonce-Gate" to the Harbaugh Bowl.

Unless, of course, Beyonce decides to go all Mill Vanilli on the nation again at halftime Sunday.
