Vigil will be held at Samford University for student killed in car accident
VESTAVIA HILLS - AL —
A vigil will be held Sunday night for 19 year old Trevelyn Campbell. The Samford University art student was killed in a car accident in Vestavia Hills.
Student and facility will remember the Samford junior at a memorial prayer vigil inside Reid Chapel at 9 p.m. Sunday.
"Our campus community is shaken this weekend with the loss of Trevelyn Campbell," said Samford University President Andrew Westmoreland. "Even in a life far too short, we celebrate her creativity, intellect, kindness and faith. Indeed, it is faith that will see us through these days."Campbell was killed Friday night in a two car accident on the 26 hundred block of Altadena Road near her parents home.
Campbell was also a member of the Samford color guard.
Lights at Sibyl Temple in Vestavia Hills will be blue all week in her honor.
