Walker High head football coach resigns amid fight investigation

Walker High School head football coach John Holladay has resigned amid a post-game fight investigation, Jasper City Schools Superintendent Robert Sparkman said today.

Prior to his resignation, Holladay had been placed on administrative leave following a brawl last Friday after the team's game against Cullman High School. Holladay was involved in a fight with Cullman defensive coordinator Matt Hopper.

Steve Savarese, the executive director of the Alabama High School Athletic Association, released a statement regarding the incident Tuesday afternoon. Read his statement here.
