BIBB COUNTY - AL — A West Alabama banker has been arrested on several charges including identity theft, authorities announced Tuesday.Investigators say John Kevin Vann, the area president of Trustmark National Bank in Centreville, is charged with identity theft, first-degree possession of a forged instrument and first-degree theft of property in connection with a joint investigation by the Tuscaloosa Police Department and Centreville police. The case began when the victim, a Tuscaloosa businessman, received notification of a loan taken out in his name at the bank Vann managed. The victim said he had no knowledge of the loan. The investigation is still ongoing. The findings will be presented to a Bibb County grand jury in the next few months.
