Keyshawn Simpson, Western Kentucky running back, may miss game at Alabama

WKU head coach Willie Taggart

The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers were considered 40-point underdogs in their game versus No. 1 Alabama this Saturday, but that line may be on its way up.

Hilltoppers head coach Willie Taggart said today that junior running back and starter Keyshawn Simpson is questionable to play against the Tide after suffering a left knee injury last week against Austin Peay.

Simpson rushed for 60 yards on eight carries before exiting the game.{} Freshman backup Leon Allen filled in nicely by rushing for 93 yards and a touchdown on just 13 carries, but junior Antonio Andrews is slated to start if Simpson can't go.

Even the best SEC running backs have trouble gaining an inch in Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturdays, so it could be a long day for Taggart and his running backs.
