Crime Stoppers September 1: Who killed Howard Scott Bernstein?

This week's Crime Stoppers unsolved homicide report focuses on a cold case dating back to 2007. There have been new developments in a shooting that killed Howard Scott Bernstein outside of a church, but police still need your help to crack the case.

Roper hopes someone is now willing to provide a tip to put that killer in jail.From Chief Roper:"Someone else needs to speak up and give us a little more information on what happened to Howard Scott Bernstein.He was behind the wheel of his Chevy Tracker SUV right across the street from New Era Baptist Church. Mr. Bernstein had been shot in the chest, and we found an open cell phone between his legs. Also, we're told he'd been seen there in his car earlier that morning reading the newspaper.Evidence technicians found a single 380 shell casing on the ground in front of his car.Bernstein lived on the Southside, and we're not sure what all took place in his final hours.That's where your information comes in.
