Winter weather causing businesses to play catch up

For many, the winter storm caused quite the headache in more ways than one. It also created a snowball effect for businesses already backed up from the storm two weeks ago.

"Right now, I will tell you if you pull up and you have a repair or an insurance claim that needs to be taken care of, we're looking at March 24th," said Joey Morris of Pelham's Jim Lemonds Paint & Body Shop.

Morris said acquiring parts from cities such as Atlanta has been frustrating.

Many doctor offices had to reschedule patients who had to cancel. Some patients at dentist offices book six months in advance.

"I think you could safely tell James Spann I'm ready for Spring," said Dr. Marc Moulton of Hoover's Moulton Dentistry.

Dr. Jenny Sobera of Mountain Brook's Village Dermatology said employees are working extra hours this week.

"I'm working Friday, and I don't normally work on Friday," said Dr. Sobera. "I really believe we are going to accommodate all the patients who choose to come in this week."
