Woman charged with capital murder for store owner's death

Birmingham Police Department

Birmingham Police say 25-year-old Bianca Holman killed Chay ya Anders while robbing Ebony Beauty Supply in North Birmingham Saturday morning.

A concerned customer notified police when she went to Anders' store around 10:30am and found it closed, though Anders' car was outside.

Police and paramedics arrived and found Anders dead inside the store.

On Friday, police say the suspect also robbed Jack's Food Store, which is near Ebony Beauty Supply. Witnesses placed Holman at both crime scenes.

"This was an extremely heinous crime where there was no regard for the victim or this community," says Chief A. C. Roper.

Holman is in the Jefferson County Jail charged with capital murder with no bond. She also has a{} robbery charge with a $150,000 bond.

Chay ya Anders was 63-year-old.
