Northport police have arrested a 21-year-old woman after receiving a report of a suspect trying to cash a fake check last month.
Employees at a business on Lurleen Wallace Boulevard contacted the issuers and determined the check was fake. Officers arrived on the scene and identified the suspect.
While investigating, probable cause was found to obtain a warrant for Talandria Treadway. She was charged with one count of criminal possession of a forged instrument second-degree. Tuscaloosa police arrested her during a traffic stop Sunday.
She is being held in the Tuscaloosa County jail.
